With over twenty years of motion picture advertising experience, Tom Kennedy steps into the role of President and Creative Director of Technical Knock Out Pictures, Inc. Having worked on a wide variety of feature campaigns from both the agency and studio ends, he is the ideal leader for the top-notch quality of TKO productions.

Educated in New York, Kennedy attended the School of Visual Arts with a major in Film Editing and Directing in 1970, and went on to assist in the editing of the motion picture External link Joe for Cannon Films and Director John Avildsen. From 1974-1977, he worked as an editor and sound editor for the Emmy Award winning children's television series External link The Big Blue Marble.

Making the move to Hollywood in 1977, Kennedy assumed the post of Senior Editor/Producer/Project Director at Kaleidoscope Films. He was responsible for handling the audio/visual creative advertising for motion picture campaigns. During this time, he wrote and produced trailers, TV spots and product reels for all major studios; he worked on many film campaigns, including External link The Empire Strikes Back, External link Endless Love, External link The In-Laws, External link Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom , External link Tucker, External link Return of the Jedi, External link Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, External link The Terminator, External link The Year of Living Dangerously, External link Revenge of the Pink Panther and the first four External link Star Trek motion pictures.

In 1982, Kennedy made his directorial debut in feature films. He took the reigns for the sci-fi picture External link Time Walker. The project was produced under Roger Corman's New World Entertainment.

After a 15 year stint at Kaleidoscope, Kennedy sought new challenges, taking on the role of Executive Producer/Partner at Cimarron/Bacon/O'Brien in May of 1992. Here his talent was instrumental in the audio/visual advertising campaigns for such theatrical hits as External link Terminator 2, External link Basic Instinct, External link Home Alone, External link Home Alone 2, External link Unforgiven, External link The Mask, External link Eraser, External link Mortal Kombat, External link Thunderheart, External link Blown Away, five External link Star Trek and External link The Next Generation features, External link Tommy Boy, External link Up Close and Personal, External link Get Shorty, External link Jingle All the Way, External link True Lies and External link Broken Arrow.

In May of 1997, Kennedy accepted an offer to become Senior Vice President of Creative Advertising at MGM/UA in Santa Monica. Here he was responsible for all motion picture advertising campaigns as well as product reels for the studio. His campaigns included External link Tomorrow Never Dies, External link The Man in the Iron Mask, External link Ronin, External link The Thomas Crown Affair, External link Red Corner and several other films from the acquisition of Orion Pictures.

Returning to the agency side in May 1999, Kennedy became Co-President of Creative Domain in Los Angeles, overseeing all audio/visual aspects of theatrical trailers and TV sports for major motion pictures studios. His campaigns included External link X-Men, External link The Patriot, External link Me, Myself and Irene, External link Hollow Man, External link Mission to Mars, and External link Lake Placid.

In September of 2000, Kennedy made the decision to start Technical Knock Out Pictures, Inc. As President and Creative Director, he continues to produce stellar audio/visual motion picture advertising campaigns for the biggest and best studios on the market.

He also expanded TKO Pictures, Inc. to TKO Films, a production company involved in the purchase of screenplays for the development of film projects. For short or long form motion pictures see TKO Films.
